Gilbert has a lot of households with more than one dog, and when one dog marks, the others often answer. That leads to a pattern we know well: thin lines of urine along the baseboards, at the edges of doorways, and on the carpet right below sofa and chair legs.
Marking is easy to miss because each hit is small. It adds up, though, and it sits right where the carpet meets the wall, so the smell gathers at nose height for a dog and at floor level for everyone else.
With marking, finding it is half the job. We move along the walls and around furniture to locate every spot, because a room with obvious marks usually has others that are not obvious yet.
Each area gets Un-Duz-It, an enzyme that breaks down uric acid crystals rather than hiding the smell. It is applied ahead of the cleaning and given dwell time to do its work.
Hot water extraction then rinses and removes what the enzyme loosened. Air movers dry the carpet afterward so the edges are not left damp against the baseboard.
