Gilbert has one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the Valley, and upholstery is where that shows up first.
Pfaff Cleaning Co. is locally owned, with the owners overseeing every job. See our full process and service area on the main upholstery cleaning page.

Prices shown are our online rates, 15% off regular when you book online.
Leather is cleaned with a pH-appropriate cleaner, and we highly recommend conditioning afterward, because cleaning strips the oils that keep it flexible.
Price every piece in about a minute with the instant quote tool. A $150 minimum applies per visit, once for the whole visit rather than per service.
From jobs across the Valley.

We say within 24 hours, and most of the time it is dry long before that. The 24 hours is on purpose, because different fabrics and cushion fills release moisture at different rates and we would rather beat the number than miss it. Airflow is what moves it: open a window, run the ceiling fan, set the HVAC fan to ON instead of AUTO. Ask and we will set an air mover on it before we go.
Most furniture comes back looking like furniture again, and that is the usual result. We know these fabrics and what they will take.
We do not call a stain permanent until we have actually worked it. More than one professional chemistry and extra agitation, within what the fabric code allows. Some things are damage instead of soil, dye loss, sun fading, or a spot already set with a store-bought product, and cleaning does not bring those back. We classify the job before we start so you know what you are getting.
We carry commercial air movers, Dri-Pod 360s and a low-profile Syclone, and if you want one running before we go, ask and we will set it up. It jump starts the drying rather than leaving the room to do it on its own.
The rest is airflow. Open a window, run the ceiling fan, kick the HVAC fan on, and the room dries a lot faster than a closed-up room with nothing moving. We will tell you what to expect for your place before we leave.
Leather couch cleaning is cleaned with a pH-balanced product and then conditioned, because the cleaning strips oils the hide needs. Skip the conditioning and leather cracks at the seams first.
Sofas, sectionals, loveseats, recliners, accent chairs, dining chairs, ottomans, and throw pillows. Fabric or leather, indoor or patio.
We use Decon 30, a botanical, EPA-registered disinfectant, applied with a fogger. Not a pump sprayer and not a soaking. The fogger turns it into a fine, high-power mist that lands evenly across the upholstery and settles through the room itself, so the fabric and the air get treated at once and nothing gets flooded.
That part matters. Saturating fabric to sanitize it creates a worse problem than the one you started with. A mist does not.
What people notice is the room. It smells clean the way a room does after a deep clean, not after a spray can, and the difference is usually obvious the same day. It is why a lot of customers end up putting monthly sanitizing on the calendar after trying it once.
People cover the cushion before we arrive, or start explaining the stain before we are through the door. You do not have to. Every couch we clean has body oils in the arms and headrest, because that is what happens when people sit on furniture. Kids eat on it, dogs sleep on it, somebody spilled wine in 2021 and nobody mentioned it.
Flip the cushions over and show us the side you hide. That is the side we actually need to see.
Dog and cat urine, red wine, coffee and tea, grease and food oils along the arms and headrests, ink, blood, and smoke smell in fabric. Microfiber, chenille, velvet, linen, and suede all behave differently, and the fabric decides what is possible before the stain does.
Most upholstered furniture carries a cleaning code on a tag under the cushion or on the frame. W takes water-based cleaning. S takes solvent only, and water alone will ring or stain it. SW takes either. X takes neither and can only be vacuumed.
The wrong method on the wrong code causes shrinkage, browning, water rings, or dye migration, and most of that is permanent. We check the tag before anything touches the piece, and test in a hidden spot when there is no tag and the fabric is not one we know well.
Arms and headrests darker than the rest of the piece, which is body oil. Odors that come back after the room airs out. Fabric that feels different under your hand than it used to. Visible soil along the front edge of seat cushions. Any of those means it is time for furniture cleaning, not just a vacuum.
Optional: fabric protectant, deodorizer, and pet stain and odor treatment as its own process rather than a step tacked onto a standard cleaning.
A $60 sofa gets a $60 wipe-down. Something wet goes over the fabric, the loose soil comes up, and everything that soaked into the cushion and the seams stays where it is.
That is why the spots come back. A stain that soaked into the foam wicks back up to the surface as the piece dries, usually within a week or two, and the smell comes with it. Nothing was removed. It was moved around and left to dry.
What $127.50 online buys, $150 at the regular rate, is the cushions, the back, the sides, the seams, and the deck underneath. Product matched to the fiber, dwell time so it can work, then extraction to pull it out rather than press it deeper into the foam.
We check the fiber before anything touches it, because the wrong product on the wrong fabric browns it or strips the color, and that is not a mistake you can clean back out.
Many of Gilbert's master-planned communities were built with dog parks, trails, and larger yards as selling points, which means more pets per household than average. Dander, hair, and the occasional accident work into seat cushions and along the base of sofa arms where vacuuming never reaches.
Gilbert's family-heavy demographics add the rest. Kids, snacks, and daily use put more on a sectional in three years than a quieter household manages in ten.
Pet odor gets treated as its own process rather than a step tacked onto a standard cleaning, because surface cleaning does not reach what soaked into the cushion. If odor is the reason you are calling, say so when you book so we plan the time for it.
The method matches your fabric, not one method for everything.

Deodorizer is for smell: it knocks out odor and leaves a clean floral scent. Sanitizing is for the surface: Decon 30, a hospital-grade botanical disinfectant, misted over it. A lot of people add both, since one treats the surface and the other leaves it smelling fresh.

Most residential fabrics plus leather. We check the cleaning code first. If a piece is code S or X, we tell you up front rather than risk it.
Fabric and airflow decide it, so we do not promise a time. We keep the moisture low going in, and we will set an air mover on it if you ask. Leather is dry almost immediately.
We reduce many of them with targeted treatment. Odors absorbed deep into cushions or padding may need more work, and we say which situation you are in.
Yes, with a pH-appropriate cleaner and conditioning afterward to replace the oils cleaning strips out.
Yes. Outdoor pieces run 8% above indoor, since sun-baked soil takes more work to release.
