The difference between a cleaning and a good cleaning is time. We take ours.
Price it yourselfGoodyear calls usually start the same way: a dryer that used to finish a load in one cycle now needs two, or the laundry room gets hot while the clothes stay damp. In the newer homes around Estrella Mountain Ranch, Palm Valley, and Canyon Trails, the dryer is almost never the problem. The vent line behind it is.
Pfaff Cleaning Co. is locally owned, with the owners overseeing every job. See our full process and service area on the main dryer vent cleaning page.

Pricing more than a dryer vent? The instant quote tool prices every service at once.
The hose is the cheap part. Setting the dryer at the correct distance so the line does not crush, keeping the run short and straight, and sealing both connections is what keeps lint from packing up in a sag. If a connection we made comes loose, we come back and fix it free.

From jobs across the Valley.

Every job covers the whole vent line, from the back of your dryer to where it exits the house. We check the run first, brush the full length of the vent with a rotary brush, pull out the lint and anything else that has built up, clean the vent cover and flapper outside, and check the hose connecting your dryer to the wall for gaps or leaks. When we are done, we vacuum and clean up before we leave.
We work on every vent setup found in Goodyear homes and businesses, from short sidewall runs to long two-story runs and roof terminations, plus condo and townhome systems, stacked units, and multi-unit rental properties.
Before we pack up, we push the dryer back, make sure the hose has no gaps or leaks at the connections, and position it so it does not kink or get crushed against the wall. Ask and we will show you what came out of the line.
On the rare job the line needs a repair, a crushed duct, a disconnect in the wall, a bad termination, cleaning it will not fix the airflow and we will tell you that instead of charging you and leaving. We do not do vent repairs, so we point you to who does. That happens on a small number of jobs. The rest go clean and the airflow difference is major.
About the hose behind your dryer. When it is in good shape, it goes right back on and you are not sold anything. When it is crushed, torn, or coming apart, we leave it off, because a damaged hose is where the next clog starts and we will not reconnect something we know will fail. Our replacement is semi-rigid aluminum, sealed and clamped at both ends, and it moves the job up to the hose package. If a connection we made ever loosens, we come back and fix it at no charge. Skip the upgrade and that is fine, but the old hose stays off and hooking damaged ductwork back up is yours to handle. Backed by our guarantee.
The best termination is a simple flap that swings open when the dryer runs and falls shut when it stops. No screen, no mesh, no cage.
Screens go on to keep birds out, and they do that. The problem is lint catches on the mesh from the inside, packs the holes, and chokes the airflow. A screened cap is the most common reason we find a vent that was cleaned recently and is already restricted.
Cleaning on a schedule handles the bird problem too. Birds nest in a line that has been sitting unused, which is why it hits snowbirds and anyone away for a week or more. If your Goodyear home sat empty for a season or a long summer trip, have the vent checked before you run the dryer, not after. If we find a nest, a damaged cap, or a screen packed with lint, it goes on your record as a repair rather than getting cleaned around.
A lot of vent hoods come with a screen or a cage over the opening. It keeps birds out, and it also catches lint on every load, because lint is exactly the size to pack into mesh. Once those holes fill, the dryer is pushing against a clogged screen every cycle.
An open flap with no cage is what you want. A damper that opens with the airflow and falls shut when the dryer stops, with nothing for lint to grab.
Birds are a real concern, but cleaning handles that better than a screen does. Every ten months or so, and again after a place has sat empty, which matters in Goodyear if you travel or you are only here part of the year. A vent that has not run in a month is what a bird is looking for, and a cleaning clears the nest and the lint in one visit.
A shop vac at the opening only pulls the loose lint near the entry. Hardware store rod kits can come apart at a bend and leave a brush head stuck in the line, and a leaf blower pushes debris into the bends, where it packs harder. Our rotary brush scrubs the whole line and breaks up the packed lint the others leave behind.
Whirlpool and Maytag F29, LG d80, d90, or d95, Samsung dC, and GE's clogged vent light almost always mean the vent, not the dryer. Booking the line and the lint trap housing together is what the 14-day airflow code guarantee covers.
A $69 dryer vent special gets $69 worth of effort. Ours covers the full line, brushed end to end. Anything beyond that is your call.
Then there is what goes back on. Plastic elbows and foil hose are common behind dryers here, and neither holds up. Plastic gets brittle in an Arizona laundry room and snaps, and the pieces end up in the duct where the next person has to fish them out. A connection that comes loose behind the machine vents hot lint into the wall cavity, which is the thing you were trying to prevent.
The other version we get called about is a dryer throwing an error code it never threw before, because the machine was pulled out, reconnected wrong, and shoved back against a crushed hose.
Our tiers are published and they do not move on site. Full duct run from the machine to the outside cap, both ends when the run needs it, semi-rigid aluminum where a hose is part of the job, the lint pile photographed before we vacuum it up, and a guarantee on every connection we make. If one comes loose, we come back and fix it free.
Leave the dryer where it is, moving and reconnecting it is part of the service. Most vents exit through a sidewall and we clean those from both ends.
Lint trap cleaning. Lint builds up inside the trap housing below where your screen reaches. If you clear the screen every load and dry times are still bad, this is usually where the rest is hiding.
Dryer hose upgrade. Old foil or plastic hose restricts airflow, crushes when the dryer gets pushed back, and catches lint in every ridge. We replace it with heavy-duty semi-rigid aluminum, sealed and clamped at both ends.
Both are optional. If your housing is clean and your hose is in good shape, we will say so and you pay for the vent cleaning and nothing else.
According to the National Fire Protection Association, U.S. fire departments respond to an average of roughly 14,600 home fires a year involving clothes dryers or washing machines. Failure to clean is the leading contributing factor.

Ten or more homes on the same street, HOA, or community booked for the same day moves the whole group to our commercial per-unit pricing, well under the single-home rate. We have run a number of these already, whole streets in one day. The drive and setup get spread across the block instead of eaten by one house. Text (480) 389-8415 with a rough home count and we will price it before anyone commits.
Most of Goodyear is master-planned communities built in phases, and new phases are still going up. That means two kinds of dryer vents out here: lines that have been running for years without anyone touching them, and long, twisting runs in newer floor plans.
The earlier phases. The first sections of Palm Valley, PebbleCreek, and Estrella Mountain Ranch have been lived in long enough that the vent behind the dryer may never have been cleaned. If there is a foil or vinyl hose back there, it is likely the original, and that hose crushes, holds lint in every ridge, and is the weakest part of the whole setup.
The newer builds. Two-story plans in Canyon Trails, Centerra, and the newer parts of Estrella often put the laundry upstairs or in the middle of the house, so the line runs a long way with several turns before it reaches a wall or the roof. Lint catches at every elbow, and with dust blowing off nearby construction, the cap and flapper outside load up faster too.
Goodyear sits at the west end of where we work, so we plan visits out here to get everything done in one trip. If the air ducts or the HVAC coils are due too, put them in the same quote and we handle it all that day. And if a few neighbors on your street want their vents done, ask about booking the group together.
Line and lint trap done, airflow code gone. If it comes back in 14 days, so do we.

About every 10 months for a typical household, sooner with a large family, heavy laundry volume, a long run, or pets.
Most residential jobs run 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on the length of the run.
Yes. We usually clean roof exits from both ends. On a straight run where we can see daylight through the vent cover from inside, the exit is confirmed clear and we do not need to go up. On tall condo and townhome buildings we clean the full run from inside.
Yes. A new machine pushing against a restricted vent still runs long and hot. The vent is the part that loads up, not the dryer.
Our work on those connections is covered, so if one loosens, the fix is on us.
Restricted vents increase fire risk by reducing airflow and causing heat buildup. Failure to clean is the leading contributing factor in dryer fires.
Flat pricing by package: basic cleaning, cleaning plus the lint trap or a premium hose, or full service. Your exact total shows in the price box above.
Yes. Dryers in salons, gyms, and shared laundry rooms run almost nonstop, so those lines fill up much faster than a home's. Commercial jobs are priced separately on our commercial dryer vent cleaning page.
