West Valley builds from the last decade or so often have a family room that opens into the kitchen, and a six- or seven-piece leather sectional is the natural fit. It is the movie spot, the nap spot and the place everyone gathers.
Summer storms add to the wear. A haboob can coat a room even with the windows shut, and that powdery dust settles into the seams of every cushion. Mixed with daily body oil it becomes a dull film that dims the leather.
Since a sectional is a big piece, it often makes sense to bring the recliners, ottoman or a loveseat into the same visit.
Most big-box and builder-matched sectionals are pigmented, or protected, leather with a pigment coat on top, which stands up well to thorough cleaning. Higher-end pieces may be aniline or semi-aniline, which have less protection and absorb more, so they get a lighter hand. Nubuck and suede accents are cleaned dry-leaning and brushed to restore the nap, without conditioner.
We do all of them. A hidden-spot test comes first, then a method built for that finish. When you add it, smooth leather finishes with a coat of conditioner so it stays soft through the hot months.
Each price is the online price for cleaning. Conditioning is an optional add-on for each piece, one we highly recommend in Arizona heat.
Goodyear has a $500 visit minimum. Common Goodyear setups:
Storm dust, body oil, everyday grime and dye that rubbed off denim usually clean up well. Headrests and the corner seat that everyone fights over tend to lighten back toward the original color.
Some things are permanent. Cracked or peeling leather, color worn away to the hide, sun-faded patches, tears and scratches that cut into the surface will remain after cleaning. We do not repair, recolor or re-dye. If we spot damage like that, we point it out before we begin so you know what to expect.
