New grout never matches old grout. A color seal afterward makes it all one brand-new color.

Pricing more than a repair? The instant quote tool prices every service at once.
What moves the price: how much grout has failed, whether it is already loose or cracked but still in the joint (that grout has to be cut out with a grout saw), joint width, tile size and layout, baseboard protection, whether you have leftover grout from the install or we order it, and whether you add color sealing. The optional clean and color seal afterward is priced at our normal tile rates.

A lot of shower repairs turn out great when we repair one day, then clean and color seal once it cures. That second visit is what makes old and new grout look like one job.

Shower, floor, and backsplash grout repairs: crumbling grout, cracks along baseboards and corners, and showers with cracked, moldy seams. Repaired, cured, then color sealed so old and new grout match. Some people call this grout replacement: we cut out the grout that failed and replace it, not the whole floor.
It was mixed wrong. When the original installer gets the water ratio wrong, grout never reaches full strength and crumbles out of the joints over time. The house moved. A tiny bit of settling over years cracks grout where the floor meets something rigid, which is why it starts along baseboards and in corners. The shower wore it out. Water, soap, and calcium break shower grout down until it cracks, grows mold, and comes loose.
Water behind the tile is a different story. If moisture is trapped behind the tile or under the pan, it keeps pushing out through the grout, and a repair will fail again. White chalky powder, grout that stays dark for hours, loose tiles, or a musty smell are the signs. If we see them, we tell you before we start, because that needs waterproofing or pan work from a contractor.
Floor repairs are guaranteed for one year against the repaired grout cracking or coming loose under normal use. New settling cracks elsewhere, water damage, structural movement, and repairs made with customer-supplied grout are not covered. Showers are not guaranteed, and that covers repairs, cleaning, and color sealing. Some hold up for years and some fail quickly, and a short life does not mean the work was done wrong. Water, soap, calcium, ventilation, and moisture behind the tile are out of our control. Running your exhaust fan during and after showers helps it last.
No full regrouts, no tile replacement or tile repair, and no caulking. If your job is bigger than a grout repair, we tell you upfront.
Color sealing is hand work, so the price is the grout line, not the material. Every line gets cleaned first, then sealed by hand, then the excess wiped off the tile face inside the window before it sets. Miss that window and the haze is on the floor permanently.
We are quick at it because we have done a lot of them, not because we are skipping steps. That is the distinction worth making. Somebody learning on your kitchen is slow and still leaves color on the tile and skips the lines under the cabinet edges.
It carries a one year guarantee on floors, which is the part that tells you what we think of the work.
We repair grout when the tile underneath is solid. Cracked lines, missing sections, crumbling joints, and blown-out corners all come back looking right when the tile is still bonded down.
Hollow-sounding tile is a different problem. Tap across the floor and you can hear it, a solid tile gives a tight sound and a tile that has lost bond sounds hollow. When that tile moves the grout cracks again, so regrouting only buys a few months. We tap the area before we quote, and if it is hollow we tell you and point you to a tile setter instead of taking your money to fill a joint that will fail.
Shower grout restoration and shower tile restoration are what people search when a Phoenix shower is past cleaning. Cracked seams, missing grout in the corners, and grout that crumbles when you press it. We repair what has failed and reseal it. We do not regrout a whole shower from scratch, and we say so before we come out.
Neighborhoods like Arcadia, Sunnyslope and Moon Valley are full of homes old enough that the original grout has been through decades of mopping and settling. On floors it lets go along the baseboards and across doorways first. In showers it opens up at the corners and lets water in behind the tile.
Most of what we find is spot failure, and a spot repair handles it without tearing anything out.
Shower repairs need about 12 days before use with color sealing. In a house with a second bathroom that is easy. In a one-bath bungalow or a downtown condo, work out where you will shower before we start.
Floor repairs guaranteed for a full year.

No. We stick to grout repairs in showers, on floors, and on backsplashes, the kind of targeted fix that does not need one, and we tell you upfront if a job is bigger than that.
You can, and it may lower the price a little. We recommend fresh grout, though. Bagged grout has a shelf life of about a year, repairs made with customer-supplied grout are not covered by the floor guarantee, and a clean and color seal afterward puts everything in one color anyway.
About 5 days of cure time, then 7 more days after color sealing if you add it. Roughly 12 days total with color sealing.
A clean and color seal after it cures is what guarantees one even color.
No. We repair grout only, in showers and on floors.
Floor repairs, yes, for one year, unless the repair used customer-supplied grout. Showers are not guaranteed, whether it is a repair, cleaning, or color seal. Some last for years and some fail quickly, and that comes down to things out of our control, not the work.
If repairs keep failing, water may be trapped behind the tile or under the pan and pushing out through the grout.
Floor spot repairs $150 to $450, multiple floor areas $650 to $950, baseboard lines $300 to $650, a couple of shower spots $200 to $400, and multiple areas in a standard shower $550 to $750. Not discounted online.
Not at this time. We clean and repair the tile, stone, and grout around it. For hard water on shower glass, we suggest Bio-Clean Hard Water Stain Remover. It is non-acidic, so it will not etch the stone and grout around your glass the way most acid-based removers can. Test a small corner first, especially if your glass has a protective coating.
Usually, yes, as long as the tile itself is solid. Failed grout gets cut out and replaced, then color sealed so the old and new lines match. If tile is loose or cracked, we tell you before we start, because tile replacement is not something we do.
