Natural Stone Cleaning in Chandler. A lot of Chandler homes built in the 2000s went heavy on travertine, from entries and kitchens to pool decks, and most of it has never been properly sealed since the day it went in.
Pfaff Cleaning Co. is locally owned, with the owners overseeing every job. See our full process and service area on the main natural stone cleaning page.

Cleaning and clear seal are 15% off when you book online. Color enhancing and grout color seal are not discounted.
Price your stone in about a minute with the instant quote tool. A $300 minimum applies to any visit that includes tile or stone, or $500 when it includes color sealing, once for the whole visit rather than per service.

Stone that has faded, or slate and travertine that went flat years ago, usually comes back further with a color enhancing sealer than with a clear one. It deepens the natural color that is already in the stone rather than adding a color to it, and on slate in particular the difference is not subtle.
We show you both before you decide. We seal a small test area with each, you look at them side by side in your own light, and you pick. Plenty of people come in wanting the clear seal and change their mind standing over the test patch, and plenty of others prefer the clear. Either way it is your call with the stone in front of you rather than a decision made off a description.
Clear seal protects. Color enhancing protects and brings the color back. Same job, same visit, different look.
We clean and seal marble. We do not polish it. Restoring a dull or etched marble floor means working through diamond abrasives to hone and then re-polish the surface, and that is a different trade with a different machine. We would rather tell you that than learn on your floor.
We do not replace, repair, or remove stone or tile. If a piece is cracked or loose, we tell you before we start, since that is a stone or tile contractor job.
Here is how to tell which problem you have. Soil sits on top and comes off, and the floor looks better wet. An etch mark is a dull spot where something acidic touched the stone, and it stays dull when everything around it shines. General dullness across a whole floor is usually worn finish rather than dirt.
Cleaning and sealing fixes the first one and protects against the next one. It does not fix an etch mark or a worn finish, and anyone telling you a cleaning will bring the shine back on etched marble is selling you something. We will look at it and tell you which you have before you spend money on either of us.
Hard water deposit on stone is where most damage gets done, and it is almost always done by whoever is trying to remove it. A razor blade moves bonded calcium fast and scratches the stone doing it. An acidic cleaner takes the deposit off and etches travertine, marble, and limestone on contact.
We use neither. We work deposit with products matched to the stone and real dwell time, we get what is gettable, and where buildup has bonded in we tell you that instead of trading your stone for a faster result.
Natural stone sealing, travertine cleaning, marble and limestone stone care, and hard water stain removal on stone showers and floors. Stone is porous, so sealing is what keeps Chandler hard water and everyday spills from soaking into the surface. We clean the stone first, then seal it, because sealing over soil locks the soil in.
We bring natural stone back. Travertine, marble, limestone, slate, and flagstone, indoors and out, plus travertine pool decks and cool deck, deep cleaned and sealed so the color comes back richer and stays protected.
Marble, travertine, and limestone are calcium-based, and acid eats into them on contact. A lot of household and even professional tile cleaners are acidic enough to leave dull etch marks in a single pass, and that damage does not come back out. So we identify every stone before anything touches it, and we use pH-neutral, stone-safe products only. No acid on natural stone, ever.
Stone fades. Sun, hard water, and traffic wear at the surface until travertine goes chalky, slate turns dusty gray, and limestone looks flat. Deep cleaning pulls the buildup out, and color enhancing sealer soaks in and brings the depth back: richer browns and golds and the real color of the stone you chose. It protects at the same time, so the result lasts. Clear sealing is there too if you want to keep the current look.
Etching, where something acidic ate into the stone, takes honing and polishing, and we do not do refinishing. Everything around it still comes out cleaner, richer, and protected.
Travertine, marble and limestone are calcium based. The acidic cleaner that works fine on porcelain eats into them on contact and leaves a dull patch that is missing stone, not dirt. It cannot be cleaned back out, and the only fix is refinishing, which is a different trade and a much bigger bill.
That is the actual risk when somebody runs one bottle across every floor in the house. Most people who ruin a stone floor are not careless, they just used a tile cleaner on stone because it looked like tile.
What you are paying for is somebody identifying the stone first and knowing which chemistry it takes. pH-neutral product, controlled dwell, and a sealer matched to that stone rather than whatever is on the truck. $1.27 a square foot online, $1.50 regular, and the floor still has its finish when we leave.
Chandler's hard water leaves mineral deposits on stone around sinks, showers, and anywhere irrigation hits a patio, and on porous travertine that mineral works into the surface rather than sitting on top. Travertine pool decks take sun, chlorine, and splash every day of the swim season.
Most homeowners clean stone with the same products they use on tile, and many of those are acidic enough to dull it.
Chandler is home base, so interior stone and a travertine pool deck are easy to do in one visit, priced together.
Every stone identified before anything touches it.

Cleaning from $1.27/sqft online, or $1.50 regular. Sealing packages from $2.50/sqft, standard 12x12 at the low end. Pool decks $2 to $4/sqft. A $300 minimum applies to any visit that includes tile or stone, or $500 when it includes color sealing, once for the whole visit rather than per service.
Not at this time. We clean and repair the tile, stone, and grout around it. For hard water on shower glass, we suggest Bio-Clean Hard Water Stain Remover. It is non-acidic, so it will not etch the stone and grout around your glass the way most acid-based removers can. Test a small corner first, especially if your glass has a protective coating.
We do not guarantee how long it lasts in a shower. Some hold up for years and some fail quickly, and a short life does not mean the work was done wrong. Showers take water, soap, and calcium every day, and things like ventilation, the cleaners used, and moisture behind the tile are out of our control. Running the exhaust fan during and after showers and squeegeeing the walls help it last.
