We're in Fountain Hills all the time, and we take on natural stone cleaning across the city.
We scrub Fountain Hills stone with an orbital machine and a pole brush for the grout, then rinse and extract through a stone head. Pick your stone and square footage below and text the total to book, or call (480) 389-8415, 7am to 8pm, all week.
Know the stone, then pick the chemistry. Never the other way around.
Price it yourselfCustom homes across Fountain Hills lean hard on natural stone: travertine through the living areas, slate or flagstone at the entry and out on the patio, and marble in the primary bath. Desert dust and hard water flatten all of it faster than owners expect.

Faded stone, and slate or travertine that went flat years ago, usually comes back further under a color enhancing sealer than a clear one. It does not add color. It deepens the color the stone already has, and on slate the change is dramatic.
You decide while looking at your own floor. We seal a small test spot with each product so you can compare them side by side in your light. Some people arrive set on clear and switch at the test patch, and others stick with clear. Both protect the stone. The enhancer also brings the color back.
We clean and seal marble, and we stop there. Bringing back the shine on dull or etched marble means grinding through diamond abrasives to hone and re-polish, which is a separate trade with separate equipment. We do not replace, repair, or remove stone or tile either. If a piece is cracked or loose, we tell you before we start, since that is a job for a stone or tile contractor.
Soil sits on the surface, comes off, and the stone looks better when wet. An etch is a dull patch where something acidic hit the stone, and it stays dull while the rest of the floor shines. Dullness spread across the whole floor is usually worn finish. Cleaning and sealing solve the first and guard against the next, but they do not fix an etch or a worn finish. We look and tell you which you have before you spend anything.
Most damage to stone happens while someone is trying to get mineral deposits off it. A razor blade lifts bonded calcium quickly and scratches the stone in the process. An acidic remover dissolves the deposit and etches travertine, marble, and limestone at the same time. We use neither. Products matched to the stone and patient dwell time remove what can come off, and where buildup has fused to the surface, we tell you instead of trading your stone for speed.
Travertine, marble, and limestone are calcium-based. A cleaner that is perfectly fine on porcelain bites into them instantly, leaving a dull spot where stone is actually missing. It cannot be cleaned out, and the only fix is refinishing. Most ruined stone floors are not the result of carelessness. Someone simply used a tile product on stone that looked like tile.
The price covers knowing the difference: pH-neutral products, controlled dwell, and a sealer chosen for that specific stone, with the finish intact when we leave.

Stone is porous, so a good seal is what keeps hard water and everyday spills from soaking in. We always clean first and seal second, since sealing over soil locks it in place. That covers travertine, marble, limestone, slate, and flagstone floors, stone showers with hard water staining, and outdoor stone.
Inside and out, including travertine pool decks and cool deck, we deep clean and seal stone so its color returns and stays protected.
Sun, minerals, and foot traffic wear at the surface until travertine looks chalky, slate goes dusty gray, and limestone turns flat. A deep clean pulls out the buildup, and a color enhancing sealer soaks in to restore the browns, golds, and grays you originally picked, while protecting the stone so the look lasts. A clear seal is available if you would rather keep the current look.
Sealer will not hide an etch. That takes honing and polishing, which we do not offer, but everything around it still comes out cleaner, richer, and protected.
More on travertine: Travertine Cleaning & Sealing.
Fountain Hills has some of the hardest-working stone in the Valley. Travertine and flagstone run from the front door out to the patio, and many backyards wrap a stone deck around the pool. Hard water leaves mineral rings by sinks and showers and wherever sprinklers reach the patio, and porous travertine draws that mineral into its surface. Outside, strong sun, splash, and wind-driven dust from the surrounding desert wear the deck down through a long swim season.
On top of that, many owners use the same all-purpose tile cleaner everywhere, and a lot of those products are acidic enough to dull stone.
If your home has interior stone and a travertine pool deck, we schedule both for one visit and put them on one quote.
We name the stone before any product goes down.

Travertine, marble, limestone, slate, and flagstone, indoors and out, in every Fountain Hills neighborhood. Travertine is the one we see most here, in entries, showers, living areas, and around pools.
Usually a lot, and you will notice right away. Cleaning lifts the mineral and dust that settle into porous stone, and a color enhancing sealer deepens faded color. Tired travertine and slate show the biggest change.
No. Etching is acid damage that needs honing and polishing, and we do not do that refinishing. We still clean and seal the rest and point out the etched spots so you know what will remain.
It protects like a clear sealer while deepening the natural color of the stone. We seal a small test area with each so you can compare them in your own home before choosing.
Every one to three years for most interior stone. Showers, kitchens, and patios in sprinkler range need it sooner, and stone around a pool, with sun and splash, sits at the short end.
Yes, travertine decks and cool deck, cleaned first and then sealed clear or color enhancing. The deck and your interior stone can share a visit and a quote, with deck cleaning at $1.70 a square foot online.
Yes. Only pH-neutral products touch marble or any natural stone.
Look at a chip or a pit. Real travertine has natural holes and the same color all the way through. A porcelain look-alike has a printed face over a plain body. We confirm the material on site before any product goes down.
Not at this time. We handle the stone, tile, and grout around it. For hard water on glass we suggest Bio-Clean Hard Water Stain Remover, which contains no acid and will not harm nearby stone or grout. Test a small spot first, especially on coated glass.
We cannot promise a lifespan inside a shower. Some keep their seal for years and some lose it quickly, and a short life does not mean poor work. Daily water, soap, calcium, ventilation, and moisture behind the tile are outside our control. A fan and a squeegee help.
Yes, when the goal is restoring color and protection: a deep clean and a clear or color enhancing seal handles most dull travertine. If the dullness is deep etching that has to be honed out, that is stone fabricator work, and we will tell you which you have.
