Commercial seating gets used by a new person every hour. Body oil darkens arms, headrests, and seat edges, spills land on seats, and in salons and spas, product, hair color, and spray tan transfer onto light fabric constantly. We have cleaned salon chairs covered in spray tan transfer, and the right pre-treatment is what makes that come out.
Restaurant booths take food and drink every shift, and grease sets into fabric quickly. Hotel furniture needs to be cleaned and dry between guests.
Some of our biggest upholstery jobs are whole inventories at once. Event and party rental companies send the same lounge chairs, swivel chairs, and bar stools out to wedding after wedding, and white boucle, velvet, and chenille show every drink and footprint. It depends on the fabric and the airflow. We do not put a number on it. What we control is how much moisture goes in, and we keep that low. Vinyl and leather are dry almost immediately.
