Homes built for views of Black Mountain have big glass, and the rug in the path of that sun fades. Cleaning takes out the grit that wears the pile down and brings the color back to what the rug really is now. It does not put back color the sun took. If a faded band is what bothers you, it is better to know that before you spend the money, and we will tell you on the spot.

Socks are fine once it no longer feels damp, usually within a few hours. Thick wool on a cotton foundation can take up to a day, and moving air speeds it along.
