Material comes first. The wrong solution on wool causes browning, dye bleed, or fiber damage that cleaning cannot undo, so we identify what you own before anything touches it.
Wool, Persian, oriental, and hand-knotted rugs are normal work for us, cleaned right in your home.
All at online rates. Wool is figured as square feet x $3.50 x 0.85.
Wool holds far more water than nylon or polyester, and it reacts badly to the high pH cleaners that work well on synthetics. So a wool rug gets a gentler, lower pH product, less moisture, and slower agitation. That is more time on every square foot, and the rate reflects it.
In the examples above, that difference is about $1.28 a square foot online. On a 10x14, it adds up to $178.50 more than the same rug in synthetic.
Fringe is cleaned by hand as part of the rug, with no separate line on the bill. On a hand-knotted piece, the fringe is the end of the warp threads, so it is handled gently and kept from getting overly wet. Fraying that is already there is wear, not soil, and it stays.
