Material comes first. The wrong solution on wool causes browning, dye bleed, or fiber damage that cleaning cannot undo, so we identify what you own before anything touches it.
Wool, Persian, oriental, and hand-knotted rugs are normal work for us, cleaned right in your home. The only rug we do not clean is one with viscose in it, even a blend, and we tell you before starting if that is what you have.

The online discount covers the cleaning, not the extras.
A thick shag takes longer to work through than a flat, low-pile rug. Its price does not change because of that. A synthetic shag is $1.70 a square foot online, the same as any other synthetic, so a 5x8 shag is $68.
What a deep pile does change is drying. Plan on keeping it clear longer than a thin rug, especially in July and August when monsoon humidity slows everything down.
Deodorizer is for a smell you can notice: food, smoke, a damp dog. It works on odor held in the fiber.
Sanitizing is for germs. It makes sense on a rug where a baby crawls or where someone was sick.
Neither is needed on a rug that just looks dull. The cleaning alone handles that, and skipping the extras keeps a Tempe rug at its square-foot price.
