Nobody Is Going to Comment on Your Mattress

This is the service people are most self-conscious about, and it is the one where there is least reason to be. Every mattress holds sweat, skin, and body oils. That is not a hygiene failure, it is eight hours a night for years. The average person sheds a meaningful amount of skin and sweats through the night whether they shower before bed or not.

Strip the bed, leave it, and let us do the rest. We are not going to say anything about what we find, and we have found it before.

Why a range? The low end is your online price. Heavy staining or odor takes more time to do right, and we do not do splash-and-dash cleanings, so the top of the range covers that. Your price never goes above the top of this range for what you selected, unless the scope changes on site.

💳 Easy tap to pay with any card or phone wallet, or pay with cash or Zelle. No tax added, no card fees, and no hidden fees. Receipts by email or text.

📋 Estimated price is based on the details provided. Final pricing will be confirmed before service begins. If a visit minimum applies, it shows above your total, and it counts once for the whole visit, not per service, so combining services or adding optional add-ons is how most people clear it.

What Your Neighbors Are Saying

Our Approach to Mattress Cleaning

Mattresses are more delicate than carpet or upholstery in some ways, since they cannot be fully saturated with moisture without risking mold or mildew growth inside the mattress itself. That is why we use a low moisture approach specifically suited to mattress fabric, designed to lift embedded dirt, dust mites, and allergens without oversaturating the material.

We evaluate your mattress's fabric and condition before beginning, and we are upfront if a stain or odor is unlikely to fully resolve, rather than promising results we cannot guarantee.

What Cleaning Actually Removes

Dust mites and the allergen they leave behind, which is the actual trigger for most people who wake up congested. Dead skin and body oil, which is what mites feed on. Sweat and the odor that comes with it. Surface staining that has not set permanently.

What it does not remove: staining that has soaked deep into the foam or padding, permanent discoloration from old spills, and anything that has already reached the core. Those are past what surface cleaning reaches, and we will tell you when that is what we are looking at.

Our Mattress Cleaning Process

  1. Inspection and assessment. We inspect your mattress's fabric, condition, and any specific stains or concerns to determine the right approach.
  2. Professional pre-treatment. We apply cleaning solutions suited to mattress fabric, designed to loosen dirt, oils, and buildup trapped within the surface material.
  3. Low moisture cleaning. We use the same clear head tool we use on upholstery, so we see what is coming out of your mattress, and we put in only as much moisture as our suction can pull right back out. That is what keeps water out of the foam, where it turns into mold or mildew.
  4. Final walkthrough. After cleaning, we review the results with you and let you know honestly if any staining or odor may remain.

What to Expect on Cleaning Day

Appointment length depends on the size and condition of each mattress. Removing sheets and bedding beforehand helps us get started right away.

Signs Your Mattress Needs Professional Cleaning

Many homeowners do not think about mattress cleaning until something prompts them to. Common signs it is time include:

If your mattress has not been professionally cleaned since you bought it, or you are dealing with stains or odors that will not go away, professional cleaning may help.

Why Regular Mattress Cleaning Matters

Mattresses collect more than most people expect. Dead skin cells, sweat, dust mites, and allergens build up steadily over months and years of nightly use, and none of that is visible or removable through vacuuming alone. Arizona's dry climate does not eliminate dust mites or allergens the way some people assume, and homes with pets or allergy sensitive household members often benefit even more from periodic mattress cleaning.

Pet and Urine Situations

Urine that has soaked through to the foam is a different problem than a surface stain. It wicks down into the padding and the smell comes back as it warms up, which is why people think it is gone and then notice it again on a hot night.

We treat what we can reach. If it is deep in the core, cleaning improves it but does not eliminate it, and at that point replacing the mattress is often the honest answer. We will tell you which situation you are in before we start.

What Makes Pfaff Different

Deep cleaned with controlled moisture. Never soaked.

We take our time. No job gets rushed to make room for the next one.

Every job Pfaff Cleaning Co. has taken on has been handled by our own team. We’re at a 5.0 on Google.

Locally owned, serving Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Mesa, Queen Creek, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Sun Lakes, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, Maricopa, Goodyear, Peoria, Glendale, Surprise, Fountain Hills, and Cave Creek, plus commercial work across the Phoenix metro.

When We Call a Stain Permanent

Most mattresses come out noticeably cleaner and fresher, and that is the normal result. We do this every week and we know how far a mattress can be pushed safely.

We do not call a stain permanent until we have worked it with what a mattress can safely take. More than one professional chemistry and controlled agitation, without the saturation that would put moisture where it cannot dry.

Some marks are not coming out and we will say so. Old urine that has soaked into the core, dye transfer, and anything already set with the wrong product. We classify the job before we start so you know what you are getting instead of hoping.

How Long Until It Is Dry

Usually a few hours. Our suction beats most truck mounts, so the moisture comes back out instead of sinking into the foam. We still say within 24 hours to be safe. The 24 hours is on purpose, because we are not putting more moisture into a mattress than it can release, and different covers and foams give it up at different rates.

Book a morning slot and it has the whole day. Airflow is what moves it, so open a window, run the ceiling fan, and pull the covers back rather than making the bed. Ask and we will run one of our commercial air movers on it while we are there.

Bed Bugs Are Pest Control, Not Cleaning

If there is an active bed bug infestation, we will not clean the mattress. Not at any price. Cleaning does not treat bed bugs, they live in the frame, the baseboards, and the walls, and no extraction reaches that. Taking your money for a cleaning that leaves the problem in place is not something we are willing to do.

Get it treated by pest control first, then call us. Once the infestation is handled we will clean the mattress and it comes back to you fresh. Same goes for fleas or any other active infestation: pest control first, cleaning after.

Mattress Cleaning FAQs

Please reach us at (480) 389-8415 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Deodorizer or sanitizing?

Deodorizer is for smell: it knocks out odor and leaves a clean floral scent. Sanitizing is for the surface: Decon 30, a hospital-grade botanical disinfectant, misted over it. A lot of people add both, since one treats the surface and the other leaves it smelling fresh.

Do you clean all mattress sizes?

Yes, we clean Twin, Twin XL, Queen, King, and California King mattresses. Pricing varies by size, and you can get an exact quote using our instant quote tool rather than waiting on a callback.

How often should mattresses be professionally cleaned?

Many homeowners have their mattress cleaned once or twice a year, though households with pets, allergies, or young kids may benefit from more frequent cleaning. If your mattress has never been professionally cleaned since purchase, that's a good starting point regardless of how it looks on the surface.

Will mattress cleaning help with allergies?

It may help reduce dust mites, allergens, and everyday buildup that accumulates in mattress fabric over time, though results vary depending on the mattress and household. For additional allergy support, we also offer air duct cleaning, since dust circulating through your HVAC system can contribute to the same symptoms.

Can you remove all stains from a mattress?

It depends on the type of stain, how long it's been set, and whether the mattress fabric has been permanently discolored. Many stains lift significantly with professional treatment, though some older or deeply set stains may only lighten rather than fully disappear.

Do I need to strip the bed first?

Yes. Please take off the sheets, covers, and pillows before we arrive, and we take it from there.

How long does a mattress take to dry after cleaning?

Usually a few hours, and within 24 hours even in slow cases. It depends on the mattress, the humidity, and the airflow in the room. What we control is how much moisture goes in, and we never oversaturate.

Is mattress cleaning safe for kids and pets?

Yes, we use professional cleaning solutions safe for households with kids and pets once the mattress has fully dried. We recommend keeping kids and pets off the mattress until it's no longer damp to the touch.

Do you offer a sanitizing treatment?

Yes, as an optional add-on, fogged as a fine mist so nothing gets soaked. It knocks out odor at the source, and it is one of our most popular add-ons.

Can you remove pet odors or stains from a mattress?

Yes, we offer a dedicated pet stain and odor treatment, with pricing based on severity. Treating pet accidents promptly generally leads to better results than letting a stain set for a long period.

Do you offer mattress protectant treatments?

Yes, mattress protectant is available as an optional add-on to help shield the surface from future stains and spills. It's a good option if you're cleaning a mattress ahead of guests or a new addition to the household.

How much does mattress cleaning cost?

Pricing depends on mattress size and any additional treatments selected. You can get an exact price using our instant quote tool in under a minute.
