Pressure washing removes the dust, algae, hard water mineral, and grime that build up on concrete, pavers, and stucco. In the Valley it's mostly baked-on dust and calcium from irrigation, plus algae anywhere that stays shaded and damp.
Pfaff Cleaning Co. provides pressure washing, soft washing, and paver sealing throughout Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Tempe, Ahwatukee, and Sun Lakes.
The difference between a cleaning and a good cleaning is time. We take ours.

Pricing more than pressure washing? The instant quote tool prices every service at once.

Let it dry before you judge it. Concrete and pavers look uneven while they are wet, and the shaded sections dry slower than the sun-exposed ones. Give it a few hours in the sun before you call it, and if something is genuinely off after that, call us and we will come back.
If you are getting exterior work done in the Valley, late September through spring is the window. There is not much sense cleaning your driveway in the middle of August when three more monsoon storms are coming to undo it. Post-monsoon is when this work actually holds.
Cheap pressure washing is fast because it blasts everything, including your stucco. We take our time and read the surface first.
Most of the damage we get called out to look at was caused by pressure, not dirt. Stucco pitted, paint stripped in stripes, mortar cut out from between pavers, wood furred up rough. All of it from somebody treating the machine as the entire method.
What you are paying for is somebody deciding what the surface can take before the trigger gets pulled. On a house that means the cleaner does the work and the water rinses it. On concrete it means a surface cleaner for an even finish instead of wand stripes that never come out.
The finish looks the same the day it is done and the difference shows up later, usually somewhere you cannot undo. Stucco that has been pitted does not un-pit, and a repaint costs many times what the wash did.

This is the service where the wrong approach does permanent damage, so it is worth understanding.
Concrete and pavers take real pressure. That is what removes tire marks, ground-in dust, and algae from the pores of the surface.
Stucco, painted surfaces, and tile roofs do not. High pressure on stucco strips the finish and drives water behind it. On a tile roof it cracks tile and forces water under the courses. Those get soft washed, which means low pressure and a cleaning solution doing the work instead of force.
Wood is the easiest surface to ruin. Pressure gouges the soft grain between the growth rings and leaves a permanent striped pattern, and it raises the fibers so the surface goes rough and splinters. Valley sun bakes outdoor wood dry and brittle, which makes it worse.
The damage from getting this wrong is not subtle and it is not fixable with another cleaning. Etched concrete stays etched. Stripped stucco has to be refinished. If someone shows up with one wand and one pressure setting for your whole property, that is the problem.
Concrete driveways, patios, and walkways. Pavers. Stucco exteriors, block walls, and brick. Tile roofing. Wood decks, fences, patio covers, and pergolas. Outdoor living areas. Pool decks and cool deck. Paver sanding and sealing as a follow-up service.
Here is the thing about Valley dust: it does not arrive all at once. It settles a little at a time, month after month, until your house has gone a shade darker than it was and you never noticed it happening. Most people only see it when they wash one section and put it next to the rest.
Look for green or black staining in the shaded spots. White mineral deposits where the sprinklers hit. Dark grime worn into the driveway tire tracks. Pavers gone faded and flat. A dirt line along the base of the stucco. Patio surfaces that feel slick underfoot.
That slick feeling is algae, and it is a slip hazard before it is a cosmetic problem. Worth dealing with sooner than the rest.

Paver joints lose sand over time. Once the sand is gone, pavers shift underfoot, weeds and ants move into the gaps, and the surface loses the color it had when it was installed. Full detail on paver cleaning, resanding, and sealing.
Resanding refills the joints. Sealing locks the sand in place and puts a protective layer over the surface, which restores the color and blocks future staining.
Sealing only works over a clean surface. Sealing over dirt and algae traps them underneath, and now the grime is permanent and under a coating. Clean first, always.
Pressure washing does a lot, but some things are in the concrete, not on it.
Oil that has soaked into concrete stains it from within. We can pull a lot of it and it usually improves significantly, but a decade-old oil spot under where someone parked is rarely gone completely. Rust from irrigation or fertilizer, efflorescence that has worked through the slab, and previous acid damage are similar. We will tell you before we start what is realistic.
Pressure where concrete can take it. Soft wash where stucco cannot.
We take our time. No job gets rushed to make room for the next one.
Every job Pfaff Cleaning Co. has taken on has been handled by our own team. We’re at a 5.0 on Google.
Most of this job is chemistry, not pressure. Algae and organic growth need a sodium hypochlorite mix at the right strength with enough dwell time to work, and turning up the pressure instead is what damages surfaces. Mineral deposits need something acidic, which is the opposite end of the scale and will burn plants and etch the wrong surface if it is mixed wrong or rinsed late. Oil needs a degreaser and time. Same driveway, three different problems, three different solutions.
Knowing which one you are looking at, at what dilution, and how long to leave it before rinsing is the actual skill. The pressure washer is just what removes what the chemistry already loosened.
We are not the cheapest quote you will get, and we are not trying to be. We price the job, not the appointment.
Locally owned, serving Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Mesa, Queen Creek, Tempe, Ahwatukee, Sun Lakes, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, Maricopa, Goodyear, Peoria, Glendale, Surprise, Fountain Hills, and Cave Creek, plus commercial work across the Phoenix metro.
Siding cleaning on stucco, block, and painted surfaces is a soft wash, low pressure and the right cleaner, because high pressure on stucco takes the finish off with the dirt. Concrete, driveways, walkways, patios, and pavers take more pressure and a surface cleaner for an even finish.

Pricing depends on the size of the area, surface type, condition, and level of buildup. Standard driveways start at $297.50 online, $350 regular, and the instant quote tool prices it in about a minute.
People use the two the same way, and so do we. What matters is matching pressure and water to the surface: full pressure where concrete can take it, a soft wash on stucco and wood.
We clean many residential surfaces including concrete, pavers, patios, walkways, stucco, block and brick walls, tile roofing, wood decks, fences, and pool decks.
Pressure washing can remove many surface stains and buildup. However, some deep oil stains, rust, fertilizer damage, or permanent discoloration may remain.
Yes. Wood gets the same low-pressure soft wash as stucco.
Yes. We match pressure and solution to each surface, which is exactly why stucco and wood never get the same treatment as a concrete driveway.
Yes. We provide paver cleaning and can also offer resanding and sealing depending on the condition of the surface.
Yes. Clean and seal is $2.75/sqft. Clean, resand, and seal is $4.50/sqft. Sealing comes with resanding, because resanding without sealing just means the sand washes out again.
