Shower Cleaning & Restoration by Pfaff Cleaning Co. in Mesa AZ

Text Us a Photo and We Will Price It

You should not have to block out an afternoon to find out what a shower costs. Send a picture with the buildup visible and we will price it the same day. A 3x5 shower with light soap film and a 3x5 shower with ten years of calcium on stone are not the same job, and a photo tells us which one we are looking at.

Recent Shower Cleaning & Restoration Work

From jobs across the Valley.

Pebble shower floor after cleaning
Mosaic shower pan cleaned
Hexagon marble mosaic shower pan after grout color sealing, every line one uniform color
Square travertine mosaic shower pan after grout color sealing
Penny round mosaic shower floor and white subway walls after cleaning

Buildup Comes Off. Etching Does Not.

Hard water in the Valley leaves calcium and scale on everything, and in a shower it goes onto the tile, the metal, and down into the grout. A dedicated hard water cleaner takes the deposits off, and on most showers the difference is dramatic.

Etching is different. Once mineral has bitten into the surface of glass or soft stone, that is damage rather than buildup, and nothing takes it out. Run a fingertip across it: rough means etching, smooth but cloudy usually means deposit. We check it and tell you which you have before we start.

What We Will Not Do to Your Shower

We do not take a razor blade to glass or tile. It is the fastest way to move bonded calcium and it is also how glass gets scratched permanently and glazed tile gets chipped. We do not put an acidic cleaner on travertine, marble, or limestone either, because that etches on contact.

Bonded calcium that has been building for years is the honest case. We work it with the right product and real dwell time and we get what is gettable without wrecking the surface underneath. Sometimes that is a shower you would swear was new. Sometimes it is a big improvement with some deposit still in the stone. We tell you which one you are looking at rather than promising you the first and delivering the second.

What Usually Comes Out, and What Does Not

Soap film and surface calcium usually come off. So does the orange or pink staining in grout, which is normally bacteria rather than a dye, and most mildew in the grout lines. Pebble floors and mosaic pans improve a lot, though the deeper texture holds onto more than a flat tile does.

Etching does not. Neither does grout that has discolored unevenly over years, where color sealing is the real answer, or caulk that has failed through, which needs cutting out and redoing.

Where We Stop

We do not regrout a whole shower from scratch. Repairing cracked or missing sections is our work, and tearing the grout out of an entire enclosure is a tile contractor job. We do not replace, repair, or remove tile, we do not do shower glass, and we do not replace caulk.

What we will do is tell you which problem you have. People spend hundreds having etched glass restored when nothing was ever going to take it out, and knowing that before you call anybody is worth real money.

Why Mesa Homes Need Shower Cleaning & Restoration

Older Mesa showers usually have small tile with a lot of grout line, and decades of soap and calcium sit in it. Newer east Mesa builds have large-format tile and stone where the deposit shows on the face instead.

Different problems, same answer: the buildup comes off, and we tell you upfront what is damage rather than soil.

Shower Cleaning & Restoration Mesa, AZ FAQs

Please reach us at (480) 389-8415 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

How do you price a shower in Mesa?

From a photo. Text a picture with the buildup visible and we price it the same day. Size, condition, and grout type change the job enough that quoting over the phone is guessing, and it saves you an appointment just to get a number.

Will the hard water spots come off?

Deposits still sitting on the surface usually come off with a dedicated hard water cleaner. Once mineral has etched into glass or stone, that is damage rather than buildup and nothing removes it. We tell you which one you have before we start.

Can you get rid of the orange or pink staining?

Usually. That is normally bacteria and soap residue in the grout rather than a dye, and it comes out with the right cleaner and agitation. Grout that has discolored unevenly over years is a color problem, and color sealing is the fix for that.

Do you regrout showers?

We repair cracked or missing grout in showers. We do not tear out and regrout an entire shower from scratch, which is a tile contractor job, and we say so before we come out rather than after.

Do you clean the shower glass?

No, we do not do shower glass work. What we will do is tell you whether your glass is etched or just covered in deposit, because that decides whether it is worth paying anyone at all.

Can you color seal a shower?

Yes, and plenty of them hold up for years. We do not guarantee shower color sealing the way we guarantee floors, because constant water, soap, and moisture behind the tile are things no one controls.
