We're in Surprise all the time, and we take on natural stone cleaning across the city.
Natural stone in Surprise gets a pH-neutral pre-treatment picked for that stone, orbital scrubbing, and a stone head that rinses and vacuums in one stroke. Enter your square footage below and book by text, or phone (480) 389-8415 between 7am and 8pm, seven days.
The difference between a cleaning and a good cleaning is time. We take ours.
Price it yourselfIn Surprise, natural stone tends to show up in a remodeled shower, a travertine entry, or the flagstone and travertine around a backyard pool. The hard water and the field dust here wear it down fast, and the wrong cleaner does the rest.
We are a locally owned Arizona company. The main natural stone cleaning page lays out the full method and service map.

Have Saltillo? It needs the same gentle care, but it is fired clay, so it lives on our tile and grout page.

Travertine, marble, and limestone are made of calcium. An acidic cleaner that is harmless on porcelain bites into them on contact and leaves a dull patch. That patch is missing stone, not carrying dirt, so it cannot be cleaned away. Most stone floors that get ruined are not ruined by carelessness. Someone simply used a tile cleaner because the stone looked like tile.
What the price pays for is identification and the right chemistry: pH-neutral products, controlled dwell, and a sealer chosen for that stone. At $1.27 per square foot online ($1.50 regular), you keep the finish you started with.
Calcium deposits are where most stone damage happens, and usually at the hands of whoever is trying to remove them. A razor blade lifts bonded mineral quickly and scratches the stone underneath. An acid cleaner dissolves the deposit and etches travertine, marble, and limestone with it. We use stone-matched products and patience, take off what will come off, and tell you where buildup has bonded rather than trade your stone for speed.

Both protect. A clear seal keeps the look you have now. A color enhancer also soaks in and deepens the color already in the stone, so chalky travertine warms back up and dusty slate turns rich again. It does not add a color of its own, and on slate the change is striking.
You choose with the stone in front of you. We seal a small test spot with each and you compare them in your own light. Some people arrive sure they want clear and switch at the test patch. Others stay with clear. Either way it is the same visit.
Dirt sits on top, comes off, and the floor looks better wet. An etch is a dull spot where something acidic touched the stone, and it stays dull while the rest shines. A floor that is dull everywhere usually has a worn finish. Cleaning and sealing fixes the first and guards against the next. Etching and worn finish need refinishing by a stone specialist, which we do not do. We tell you which you have before you spend anything.
We also do not replace, repair, or remove stone or tile. A cracked or loose piece gets pointed out first, since that belongs to a stone or tile contractor.
Travertine, marble, limestone, slate, and flagstone, inside and out, along with travertine pool decks and cool deck. Stone is porous, so sealing is what keeps hard water and spills from soaking in, and it always goes on after the cleaning so no soil gets locked under it. More detail on our Travertine Cleaning & Sealing page.
Ask anyone in Surprise about the water and they will mention the white crust on their faucets. Stone gets the same treatment, only worse, because it is porous and the minerals sink in. Picture the ring around a travertine vanity sink, the haze across a stone shower wall, and the chalky stripe a sprinkler head leaves along a flagstone walkway.
Outside, the summer sun on a west-facing backyard bleaches stone, and the dust blowing in off the fields and open desert settles into every pit in a travertine deck. Pool decks also get splash all season long.
Surprise is a long drive for us, so when a home has stone indoors and a travertine deck out back, we schedule both together on one quote.

Cleaning alone is $1.27 per square foot online or $1.50 regular. Add a clear seal and it is $1.70. Color enhancing packages begin at $2.50. Pool decks run $1.70 per square foot to clean and as high as $4 with color enhancing. Tax and hidden fees are never added.
Find a chipped corner or one of the little pits. Stone shows the same color clear through, with natural voids. A porcelain copy is a printed picture on top of a plain clay body. We verify it ourselves when we arrive.
Indoor stone usually goes one to three years between seals. Wet or sunny spots like showers, kitchens, patios in sprinkler range, and pool decks sit closer to one.
No. Etching needs refinishing work that we do not do. We still clean and seal the rest and show you which spots will stay.
No one can put a date on it. We have seen shower seals hold for years and others give out fast, and a short run does not mean the job was done badly. The water, soap, and calcium hitting it every day, the ventilation, and any moisture behind the tile are all out of our hands. Squeegee the walls and run the fan.
Glass is not something we handle, only the stone, tile, and grout around it. If spots on the glass are bugging you, Bio-Clean Hard Water Stain Remover is what we point people to. It is acid-free, so it will not hurt the stone or grout next to the door. Try it on a corner first, especially if the glass has a factory coating.
