Not included: wiping counters, dusting, or hand-cleaning surfaces. It is an air and vent treatment for a house that is already clean, not a housekeeping service, and we will not blur that line.
The product is Benefect Decon 30, EPA Reg. No. 84683-3-74771. It is a one-step botanical disinfectant whose active ingredient is thymol, which comes from thyme oil, in place of bleach or quats. It carries EPA registration as a hospital-grade disinfectant and is approved to sanitize food-contact surfaces without rinsing. Kids, pets, and kitchen counters can stay where they are, and the house does not smell like chemicals for days.
We let it sit for the dwell time on the label and do not wipe it away afterward, since wiping is what would cut it short.
Most people love the scent, herbal and a little minty. It reads as clean rather than perfumed, and it fades. It is not meant to be an air freshener.
Tell us at booking if anyone in the house reacts to thymol, and we will bring a different disinfectant.
How the visit goes. The fog reaches wherever the air reaches: across the room, into fabric, and around corners. It is not an air purifier, and we will not call it one. Nobody has to leave the house. We treat one room at a time, so just stay out of whichever room we are in, and with a fan on each room is ready again in about 15 to 30 minutes.

Touch points, if you want them. Light switches, doorknobs, and handles get a Decon 30 wipe on request. Disinfecting does not cut grease, so anything visibly grimy should be cleaned first.
