We're in Glendale all the time, and we take on grout repair across the city.
We cut out failing grout in Glendale tile and replace it, often along baseboards and around older tub surrounds. The box below gives a range and a photo locks it in, or call (480) 389-8415, 7am to 8pm daily.
Fresh grout never matches grout that has been down for years. A color seal after the cure makes it one color again.
Price it yourselfA lot of Glendale tile went down in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, and grout that old fails in predictable places: the joint where the floor meets the baseboard, the corners of the original tub surround, and the walking path from the garage. We cut out what has let go and put new grout back in its place.
We are a locally owned Arizona company. The whole process and our other cities are on the main grout repair page.
Repairs are priced as ranges and confirmed from a photo or on site, and they are not discounted online.

Want the floor cleaned or the shower done too? The instant quote tool puts every service on one total.
Where your number lands in the range: the amount of failed grout, whether cracked grout is still stuck in the joint and has to be sawed out, how wide the joints are, the size and pattern of the tile, and how much baseboard needs protecting. Adding a clean and color seal after the cure is billed at our standard tile rates.
📸 Want a range before deciding? Text us a photo of the shower and we will send one back. It opens your texting app, so tap the camera or + to attach the photos, answer the questions, and send.
For showers, the best results usually come from two trips: the repair first, then the clean and color seal after the cure. That second visit is what blends the patched joints into the rest.

Repairs on floors, showers, and backsplashes: grout that is crumbling out, cracked lines along the baseboards and in corners, and shower seams that have opened up. Each area is fixed, cured, and then color sealed if you want old and new to match. People sometimes search for this as grout replacement. We replace the sections that failed, not the whole floor.
A bad mix at install. Too much water in the batch and the grout never cures to full strength, so it slowly powders out of the joint. Settling. Over the years a house shifts slightly, and the grout cracks first where tile meets a rigid edge like a baseboard or a cabinet. Shower wear. Water, soap, and calcium grind away at shower joints until they crack and loosen.
Moisture behind the tile is another matter. When water is trapped behind the wall tile or under the shower pan, it keeps forcing its way out through the joints, and any repair will fail again. Signs include white chalky powder on the grout, joints that stay dark for hours after a shower, tiles that move, or a musty smell. If we see them, you hear about it before we begin, since that calls for waterproofing or pan work from a contractor.
Floor repairs carry a one-year guarantee against the repaired grout cracking or loosening under normal use. It does not cover new settling cracks in other spots, water damage, structural movement, or repairs done with grout you supplied. Showers carry no guarantee, for repair, cleaning, or color sealing. Some last for years and some give out early, and a short life does not mean the work was done badly. Water, soap, calcium, ventilation, and moisture behind the tile are outside our control. Running the exhaust fan during and after showers helps.
Full regrouts, tile replacement or tile repair, and caulking. If the job turns out bigger than a grout repair, we tell you before booking.
The labor is in the joint, so that is what you pay for. Each line is cleaned, then sealed by hand, then the excess is wiped off the tile face before it sets. Wait too long and that haze stays on the tile for good.
Speed comes from doing a lot of these, not from cutting steps. A newer hand usually takes longer, leaves color on the tile, and misses the joints tucked under the cabinet edges.
A grout repair holds when the tile underneath is still bonded. Cracked lines, missing pieces, crumbling joints, and broken corners all come back looking right over solid tile.
A tile that sounds hollow is different. Tap across the floor and a bonded tile gives a sharp click while a loose one sounds empty. That tile flexes underfoot and cracks the new grout again within months. We tap the area before quoting, and when it is hollow we send you to a tile setter instead of charging to fill a joint that will not last.
When someone in Glendale asks about shower grout restoration, they usually mean an original shower with cracked seams, empty corners, and grout that crumbles under a fingernail. We fix the joints that failed and seal them. We do not regrout an entire shower, and we make that clear before the visit.
Much of Glendale's tile has been in place for decades. In the older neighborhoods around Glen Lakes and the Sahuaro Ranch area, original bathrooms and kitchens are common, and the grout in them has had thirty or forty years of mopping, settling, and hard water to wear through. The cracks show up along the baseboards first and in shower corners second.
Up north in Arrowhead Ranch and Arrowhead Lakes, the homes are younger, but a busy two-story household still puts a lot of weight on entry and kitchen tile, and builder grout that was mixed too wet starts to powder out within a few years.
In both cases it is nearly always a repair, not a teardown.
Glendale is a planned trip for us, so we set the repair date and the after-cure clean and color seal date together, before we start.

It depends on the kind of repair and how many spots or rooms are involved, and the quote tool gives you the range in about a minute. Joint width, tile layout, and sawing out cracked grout all move it, and a photo confirms the figure. Repairs are not discounted online.
No. We are fully insured and do targeted grout repairs on floors, showers, and backsplashes in Glendale homes. Loose tile and water trapped behind a shower wall belong to another trade, and we say so before booking.
You can, and it may trim the price a little. Grout keeps for roughly a year, though, so a bag left from the original build of a 1980s Glendale home is long expired. We recommend fresh grout, because repairs made with yours are not covered by the floor guarantee.
About 12 days if you add color sealing: roughly 5 days for the new grout to cure, then 7 more after the color seal. Skip that shower the day before we come, too.
Not by itself. New grout always looks different from grout that has aged. A clean and color seal after the cure puts every line in one of 40+ colors, and it can also even out darker traffic lanes. See grout color sealing.
No. We take out the grout that failed and replace it.
Usually water is trapped under the pan or behind the tile and keeps pushing out through the joints, with daily hard water wear opening the first gaps. Chalky white marks, grout that stays dark half the day, loose tiles, or a musty odor point to pan or waterproofing work first.
No, glass is not something we take on, though the tile, stone, and grout around it are. For hard water on glass we suggest Bio-Clean Hard Water Stain Remover. It is non-acidic, so it will not etch nearby stone and grout the way most acid removers do. Try a small test spot first.
Yes. Baseboard and corner cracks are among the most common repairs we do in older Glendale homes. We cover and protect the baseboards while working, and a color seal after the cure blends the repair in.
