The difference between a cleaning and a good cleaning is time. We take ours.
Price it yourselfGlendale furniture tells you a lot about the house. Older ranch homes near Glen Lakes tend to have a well-loved recliner or two and a sofa that has been in the family for years, while Arrowhead two-stories usually center on one big sectional that the whole household lives on. We clean both kinds the way the fabric needs.
Pfaff Cleaning Co. is locally owned. For the full method and the cities we cover, see the main upholstery cleaning page.

Leather is cleaned with a pH-appropriate cleaner. Conditioning is an add-on we highly recommend, because cleaning strips the oils that keep leather flexible.
“We had a top to bottom cleaning today, Upholstery Cleaning, Area Rug Cleaning, Dryer Vent Cleaning and Pet treatment …”
“Pfaff were amazing! Our sectional looks brand new and with a big dog in the house that says a lot! They were very communicative and informed us of all our options!”
“Very professional and do amazing work. My furniture looks amazing.”
On fabric that can take it, we use hot water extraction, what most people call steam cleaning.
Add-ons are available too: fabric protectant, deodorizer, and a pet treatment that runs as its own step rather than a quick spray during the clean.
Most of what you pay for is the parts you do not see. Seat cushions come off so the deck underneath gets cleaned. The back, the arms, the outside panels, and the seams where crumbs and hair collect all get worked, not just the three spots people sit.
Spills soak deeper than they look. A drink that hit the cushion went into the foam, and if only the surface is cleaned, the stain wicks back up as the fabric dries, usually within a week or two, with the smell along for the ride. Extraction pulls it out from below instead.
That online rate, $150 regular, also pays for dwell time. The pre-treatment needs a few minutes to loosen oil and soil before anything is rinsed, and rushing that step is how fabric ends up half clean.
Checking the fiber first is part of the price too. Some fabrics brown or bleed when the wrong product hits them, and that kind of damage cannot be cleaned back out.
From jobs across the Valley.

Most pieces are ready to sit on within the hour. Our extraction pulls the water back out of the fabric rather than letting it sink into the fill, which is why you are not stuck with soggy cushions overnight. A thick down-wrapped cushion lets go of moisture slower than a thin microfiber seat, so it takes a little longer.
What speeds it up is air. Set the thermostat fan to ON instead of AUTO, run the ceiling fan, and open a window on a mild day. If you want extra help, ask and we will run an air mover on the piece while we are there.
The normal outcome is furniture that looks cared for again. We see these fabrics every week and know what each one will put up with.
A stain only gets the permanent label after we have actually worked it, with more than one chemistry and extra agitation, inside what the cleaning code allows. Some marks are damage rather than dirt: faded dye, sun bleaching on the side by the window, or a spot already set by a store-bought spray. Cleaning cannot reverse those, and we sort that out before we start so there are no surprises.

Our truck carries commercial air movers, Dri-Pod 360s and a low-profile Syclone. Ask and one stays aimed at the furniture after we finish, so drying gets a head start instead of depending on the room alone.
After that, it is about moving air through the room. A closed-up room with the blinds down dries slowest. We give you a realistic time for your pieces before we leave.
Leather gets a pH-balanced cleaner made for hides. Conditioning is optional, and we strongly suggest it, since cleaning removes some of the natural oils that keep leather from drying out and cracking.
Sofas, sectionals, loveseats, recliners, accent and swivel chairs, dining chairs, ottomans, benches, headboards, and throw pillows. Fabric or leather, living room or patio.
Grey arms and headrests from body oil, pet accidents, coffee rings, wine, cooking grease, pen marks, and furniture that smells like smoke. What decides the method is the fabric more than the stain, so the tag gets read first, and a hidden spot gets tested when the tag has been cut off.
These are common combinations worked out at the online per-piece rates, not real invoices.
Summer monsoon storms roll dust across Glendale every year, and the fine part of it finds its way indoors and settles on every fabric surface. Carpet gets vacuumed every week. The couch almost never does, so that dust stays in the weave, mixes with skin oil on the arms and the headrest, and the fabric slowly turns a shade darker than it started.
The wear pattern depends on the house. In the larger Arrowhead and Sierra Verde homes, one sectional takes the kids, the dog, movie nights, and football Sundays. In the older single-story homes around Sahuaro Ranch, it is more often a favorite recliner with a dark headrest and a sofa that has carried the same family for a decade.
Game days add their own wear. Households near Westgate that host friends for the big games and concerts tend to see spills, snack grease, and a lot of extra sitting in a single afternoon.
Microfiber and polyester blends fill most family rooms in the newer homes, because they stand up to kids and pets. Older households are more likely to have chenille, cotton blends, or a velvet accent chair handed down from a parent. Natural fibers such as cotton and linen want the gentlest approach, since too much water can leave them with brown rings as they dry.
Outdoor cushions in a Glendale backyard deal with sun, dust, and pollen all year, and most never get cleaned. We clean patio cushions and outdoor sets on the same visit, and they are listed in the box above with their own rates.
For Glendale, we usually pair the furniture with the carpet or tile it sits on, so the whole room is finished in a single trip from across the Valley.
Each fabric gets the method it needs, not one process for every piece.

Nearly every fabric found in a home, along with leather. The cleaning code comes first, and if a piece is marked S or X, we explain the risk before anything touches it. Dry clean only (S code) pieces, along with silk and velvet, may cost more, and we confirm the price before we start.
Most fabric is ready within the hour, as covered in the drying section above. Leather is dry almost as soon as we finish.
Often, with a targeted pet treatment. When urine has gone deep into the cushion foam or the padding, it can take more than one round, and we tell you which case you are in.
