We're in Cave Creek all the time, and we take on natural stone cleaning across the city.
Each stone in a Cave Creek home is identified first, along with any old sealer, so a pH-neutral pre-treatment can loosen buildup without etching the face. Choose a stone package and square footage below and send it over, or call (480) 389-8415 from 7am to 8pm any day.
The difference between a cleaning and a good cleaning is time. We take ours.
Price it yourselfFew towns in the Valley use as much real stone as Cave Creek. Flagstone patios and walkways, slate entries, travertine baths, and the occasional marble foyer in a Desert Mountain-area custom all show up, often in the same house, and each one needs its own products.

Photo quotes: stone showers, backsplashes, mosaic and small-format stone, and inlays or borders. Grout repair is priced by area and not discounted.
Saltillo is not on this page. It behaves a lot like stone, but it is fired clay, so it is priced with tile and grout.
Mosaic and small-format stone, inlays, borders, and dividers take extra time, so we price them from a photo. Text one and we send a price back.

Travertine, marble, and limestone are calcium-based. An acidic cleaner that is harmless on porcelain bites into them on contact and leaves a dull patch where stone is actually missing. It does not clean back out. Most people who damage a stone floor were not careless. They used a tile cleaner because the floor looked like tile.
So the stone gets identified before any product touches it, and we use pH-neutral, stone-safe products only. That care is what the price covers: $1.27 a square foot online, $1.50 regular, and your floor keeps its finish.
Most damage to stone happens while someone is trying to get hard water off it. A razor scrapes bonded calcium off fast and scratches the stone along the way. An acid removes the deposit and etches the stone underneath. We use neither. Deposits get stone-matched product and real dwell time, we remove what will come off, and where it has bonded in, we tell you rather than trade your stone for a faster result.
Stone fades. Sun, hard water, and foot traffic wear at the face until travertine looks chalky, slate goes dusty gray, and flagstone loses its reds and golds. A clear sealer protects the stone as it is. A color enhancing sealer protects it and deepens the color already in it, and on slate and flagstone the change is dramatic.
You see both before choosing. We seal a small test patch with each and you compare them side by side in your own light. Plenty of people plan on clear and switch once they see the patch, and plenty stay with clear. It is your call, made with the stone in front of you.
We clean and seal stone. We do not hone or polish it. Bringing back an etched or worn-dull marble finish means diamond abrasives and a different machine, which is a separate trade. Cleaning and sealing will not remove an etch mark either.
How to tell what you have: soil sits on top, comes off, and the floor looks better wet. An etch mark is a dull spot left where something acidic touched the stone, and it stays dull while everything around it shines. Dullness across a whole floor is usually a worn finish rather than dirt. We tell you which one you are looking at before you spend money.
We do not replace, repair, or remove stone or tile. A cracked or loose piece gets pointed out up front as a job for a stone or tile contractor.

Every kind of natural stone is porous, so sealing is what keeps hard well water and everyday spills from soaking in. It always goes on after the cleaning, because sealer over soil just locks the soil in.
Arizona flagstone is quarried sandstone, and it is everywhere in Cave Creek: patios, front walks, courtyard floors, and fireplace hearths. It is soft and thirsty, so red dust and sprinkler overspray soak into it and it fades unevenly in full sun. Slate entries are just as common in older homes and tend to look gray and chalky until they are cleaned and sealed. Both respond especially well to a color enhancing sealer.
Mop with plain warm water or a cleaner labeled pH-neutral for stone, and change the water often so you are not spreading grit. Keep vinegar, bleach, and lemon-scented all-purpose sprays off it entirely. On marble and travertine counters and tables, coasters under wine, citrus, and coffee matter more than people think, since one spill can leave a dull ring. Outside, sweep flagstone before the hose comes out, and turn sprinkler heads away from it where you can.
More on travertine: Travertine Cleaning & Sealing.
Many Cave Creek properties run on private wells or hauled water, and that water is often hard. Wherever it splashes, around sinks, in stone showers, and along the edges of a sprinkler zone on the patio, porous stone pulls the minerals into its surface. Outside, the stone takes intense sun, monsoon runoff carrying red dirt, and the dust that blows across every open lot.
Then comes the cleaning. Grabbing the usual bathroom or tile cleaner is how a lot of travertine and marble here ended up etched.
When a home has stone floors inside and flagstone or a travertine pool deck out back, we schedule both on the same day and price them on one quote.

Cleaning alone runs $1.27 per square foot when booked online ($1.50 regular). Add a clear seal and it is $1.70; color enhancing packages begin at $2.50. A pool deck cleans for $1.70 per square foot and tops out at $4 with color enhancing. There is no tax and nothing hidden.
Yes. Flagstone is cleaned with stone-safe products and can be sealed clear or with a color enhancer, which brings back the reds and golds that sun has bleached out.
Yes. The deck is deep cleaned first and then sealed, clear or color enhancing, and it can share a visit and a quote with the stone inside.
Every one to three years for most interior stone. Showers, kitchens, sprinkler-splashed patios, and anything around the pool sit at the shorter end.
Find a chipped corner or a filled pit. Genuine travertine shows its natural holes and carries the same tone right through the body. Porcelain made to imitate it has the pattern printed only on top, with plain clay underneath. Either way, we verify the material in person first.
No, glass is not something we take on, though the stone, tile, and grout around it are. For cloudy glass we suggest Bio-Clean Hard Water Stain Remover, which has no acid and will not etch nearby stone. Test a small spot first, especially on coated glass.
We cannot promise a lifespan inside a shower. Daily water, soap, and minerals, plus ventilation and moisture behind the tile, are out of our control, and a short life is not a sign of poor work. Running the fan and squeegeeing help it last.
