We're in Fountain Hills all the time, and we take on shower cleaning across the city.
We clean hard water calcium off the big travertine, marble, and pebble walk-ins found in Fountain Hills custom homes, from the fixtures down into the grout. Text us a photo of your shower to get a price.
Pfaff Cleaning Co. is locally owned. Our full process and coverage area are on the main shower cleaning & restoration page.

Finding out what a shower costs should not take an afternoon at home waiting for an estimator. Text a picture where the buildup is visible and we price it that same day. A small tile stall with light soap film and a large stone walk-in with a decade of calcium are completely different jobs, and one photo shows us which you have.
A couple of tips for the photo: shoot in daylight or with the bathroom lights on, step back far enough to show the whole enclosure, and add a close-up of the worst corner or the floor so we can see the grout.
Showers we have brought back around the Valley.

Hard Valley water leaves calcium and scale on tile, fixtures, and grout. A dedicated hard water cleaner breaks down most surface deposit, and on most showers the change is dramatic. Heavy calcium bonded into grout or stone may not lift completely, so full removal is not guaranteed.
Etching is another matter. When minerals or acid have eaten into a soft stone surface, it is damage, not buildup, and no cleaning will reverse it. Drag a fingertip across the spot: rough points to etching, while smooth but cloudy usually means deposit. We check before starting and tell you which it is.
Soap film and surface calcium generally come off. So does the pink or orange tint in grout, which is usually bacteria and soap residue rather than a dye. Pebble floors and mosaic pans improve a lot, though their deeper texture holds onto more than flat tile does.
Etched stone stays. So does grout that has gone patchy in color over the years, where color sealing is the real fix, and caulk that has failed, which needs to be cut out and replaced by someone who does that work.
Repairing cracked or missing grout in sections is our work. Tearing out and regrouting an entire shower belongs to a tile contractor. We do not replace, repair, or remove tile, we do not work on shower glass, and we do not replace caulk.
What we will do is tell you which problem you are facing. Knowing whether a surface is etched or simply coated, before you pay anyone to work on it, can save a lot of money.
Many showers in town are travertine or marble from floor to ceiling, often with a bench, niches, and a pebble or mosaic pan. Benches, niches, corners, and the joints around a pebble pan are where calcium collects most, and they take hand work rather than a quick pass. That detail time is part of why a photo matters, since a large walk-in with several of these features is priced differently from a simple tub surround.
Valley water is hard enough that a shower used daily shows deposit within a couple of years. Stone showers in older Fountain Hills homes have often gone a decade or more without a deep cleaning, and the calcium has worked its way into the grout. Guest baths in seasonal homes sit unused for months, and when the water evaporates it leaves its minerals behind.
A lot of what owners have written off as worn out is buildup, not damage. Before pricing a remodel, it is worth finding out which one you actually have.
From Eagle Mountain and FireRock to SunRidge Canyon and the streets around Fountain Park, the buildup looks the same, because it comes from the water rather than the house.

From a photo, the same day you send it. Get the buildup in the frame and we price the job from that, with no sales visit. Size, condition, and grout type all change the work, so a photo gets you a real number.
Usually most of it, though calcium removal is never guaranteed. We tell you how far it should go before we start.
Most often bacteria mixed with soap residue. It is not a dye, so the right product and scrubbing usually clear it. Grout that has turned uneven in color over the years needs color sealing, since cleaning does not change color.
No. We will tell you from the photo which one your shower needs.
No, glass is not something we work on. We focus on the tile, stone, and grout around it.
Yes, and many color sealed showers last for years. It is not guaranteed in a shower the way it is on a floor, because constant water, soap, and moisture behind the tile are out of our control. A 25% deposit covers your material.
Find out what you have first. A shower that looks ready for demolition is often just buildup, and buildup usually improves a great deal. Dark grout and large tile show every bit of it and make a shower look worse than it is.
