Material comes first. The wrong solution on wool causes browning, dye bleed, or fiber damage that cleaning cannot undo, so we identify what you own before anything touches it.
Wool, Persian, oriental, and hand-knotted rugs are normal work for us, cleaned right in your home. The only rug we do not clean is one with viscose in it, even a blend, and we tell you before starting if that is what you have.
Wall-to-wall carpet in a Peoria tract home is almost always nylon or polyester, and it tolerates one standard process. A rug might be wool, cotton, jute, or a blend, and each of those reacts to heat, water, and pH in its own way. Treat them all like carpet and you risk browning, bleeding dye, or shrinking that cannot be reversed.
The extra cost pays for knowing the difference and slowing down to match it. Synthetic rugs run $1.70 a square foot online and wool runs $2.98.
Rugs we have cleaned in homes around the Valley.

Most rugs are ready to walk on in a few hours. We still tell people to plan on up to 24 hours, because a thick wool pile on a cotton foundation lets go of water more slowly than a thin synthetic, and we would rather beat that number than miss it.
Machine-made synthetics, wool, cotton, and blends. Shag and plush piles, flatweaves, sisal and jute, silk blends, and hide rugs. Oriental and Persian pieces get identified before any product touches them, since the dyes and the foundation yarn decide the method, and wool is priced above synthetic because it needs gentler agitation and a different chemistry.
Every rug gets cleaned right where it sits, so there is nothing for you to roll up or haul anywhere. The one we leave alone is anything with viscose in it, even a small percentage. You may see it sold as art silk or bamboo silk. It loses strength once wet and can warp or yellow for good.
Hand-dyed wool and silk blends are the rugs most likely to bleed. When we are unsure how a dye will behave, a damp cloth on a hidden corner answers the question in a minute or two, before the whole rug is involved.
After that comes the dry soil pass. On most rugs that means a thorough vacuum first. If a rug has very little loose grit we skip it, rather than charge you for a step that would not change the result.
The usual result is a rug that looks the way it did when you bought it. Wool, Persian, oriental, and hand-knotted pieces come through our hands all the time.
A stain only gets called permanent after we have actually worked on it. Some marks are not dirt at all. Faded dye from a west window, browning left by someone who soaked the rug years ago, and urine that reached the foundation are damage, and we sort the damage from the soil before we start so you know which is which.
Our truck carries commercial air movers, Dri-Pod 360s and a low-profile Syclone. If you want one aimed at the rug before we leave, just ask and it gets the drying started faster.
After we go, moving air does the rest. Crack a window, turn on the ceiling fan, and flip the thermostat fan from AUTO to ON. We give you a realistic dry time for your room before we head out.
The cleaning itself, at the size-based price in the box above. Deodorizer, sanitizing, protectant, and pet treatment sit on their own lines, so you only add what you want.
A synthetic rug usually holds its shape and color, which is why it handles in-home cleaning so well. Wool soaks up water, can shrink, and does not like high-pH cleaners. On a hand-knotted rug the cotton foundation is the weak spot, since too much moisture lets it brown or pull dye out of the pile, so we keep the water low on those and make sure they dry fully.
The product is Decon 30, a botanical disinfectant registered with the EPA. We put it down with a fogger instead of a pump sprayer, so it drifts over the rug and through the room as a fine mist. The fibers and the air both get treated, and the rug never ends up soaked, which matters because a wet rug creates more trouble than a dirty one.
Lots of Peoria garages have a rolled rug leaning in the corner. The dog had an accident, a party went sideways, or a monsoon leak got it wet and it started to smell, and nobody knew the next step.
Unroll it for us. Time in storage does not automatically finish a rug off, and we will tell you plainly whether it can come back before you spend a dollar.
Urine does not stay on top. It moves down through the pile into the foundation and often into the pad or floor below. A surface clean freshens the face of the rug while the source stays put, which is why the smell returns on the first humid day. Fixing it takes full saturation and flushing, and we handle it all the time. On a wood floor, we roll the rug up and do it in your garage or out on the patio, so the floor underneath stays dry. Mention it when you book.
North Peoria is still growing out toward Lake Pleasant and the Loop 303, and construction dirt rides into the house on shoes and on the wind. On a tile great room in Vistancia or Westwing Mountain, that grit slides right across the floor until it hits the rug, then sinks in and stays.
Older parts of town see it too. In Westbrook Village and Trilogy at Vistancia, plenty of owners have kept the same wool or Persian rug for decades, and a slow layer of fine dust builds up at the base of the knots. Every step grinds it against the yarn, which is what dulls the colors over time.
Peoria rugs usually ride along with carpet, sofas, or tile on a single appointment, and we block out enough time to finish the whole list that day.
We know your rug's fiber before a drop of water touches it.

No. We clean it in your house, wool and high-end rugs included.
Yes. Wool gets products made for natural fiber, and any rug whose dyes we are unsure of gets a hidden test first.
Viscose weakens when it gets wet, and the odds of warping or yellowing are high. We spot it before we start and leave that rug out.
A surface pass only reaches the top. Urine down in the foundation needs full saturation and flushing, and we do it right on your floor. Mention it at booking.
They do different jobs. Deodorizer handles smell and leaves a light floral scent. Sanitizing mists Decon 30, a hospital-grade botanical disinfectant, over the fibers. Many people pick both.
Usually the fringe is the end of the rug's foundation, not a trim sewn on, so we handle it with care. Mention it when you ask for a quote.
Usually within a few hours. We keep the moisture controlled, and the dry desert air speeds it along.
