Finding out what a shower costs should not take an afternoon off work. A small tile stall with a little soap film and a big travertine walk-in with fifteen years of scale are completely different jobs, and one clear photo shows us which you have.

Valley water leaves calcium and scale on everything it touches, and in a shower that means tile, fixtures, and the grout. A purpose-made hard water cleaner breaks down most surface deposit, and the change is usually dramatic. Heavy calcium that has bonded into tile or grout does not always release completely, so full removal is never promised.
Etching is another thing entirely. Once minerals have eaten into soft stone, that is damage, not buildup, and nothing reverses it. Drag a fingertip across the spot: rough usually means etching, while smooth but hazy usually means deposit. We check before we start and tell you which one you have.
Soap film and surface calcium nearly always clear. The pink or orange tint along the bottom grout lines usually goes too, since it comes from bacteria rather than dye. Pebble floors and mosaic pans improve a great deal, though their texture holds onto more than a flat tile does.
Etching stays. So does grout that has drifted to uneven colors over the years, which color sealing solves, and caulk that has failed all the way through, which has to be cut out and redone by someone who offers caulking.
We repair cracked or missing grout in sections, but we do not tear out and regrout an entire shower. That is tile contractor work. We also do not replace or repair tile, replace caulk, or work on shower glass.
What we can do is tell you which problem you are facing before you spend money on the wrong fix.
Peoria's water is hard enough that an everyday shower starts showing deposit within a couple of years. The newer primary baths in Vistancia and Westwing Mountain, with large-format tile and charcoal grout, show every white streak. Older showers in Westbrook Village and south Peoria that have gone a decade or two without a deep clean usually have calcium locked into the grout itself.
