We work through the house one room at a time with a cold fogger. The mist rides the air across the room and drifts down over the sofa, the curtains, the bedding, and everything else in there, coating without wetting. Then we treat the vents and registers we can reach and move to the next room.
What it is not: housekeeping. Nobody dusts shelves or wipes down counters. It is a treatment for the air and the room, and it works best on a house that is already tidy.
The product is Benefect Decon 30, EPA Reg. No. 84683-3-74771. Its active ingredient is thymol, which comes from thyme oil, and it takes the place of bleach or quaternary ammonium. It is registered as a hospital-grade disinfectant and cleared as a food-contact sanitizer that needs no rinse. That is why we can use it near kids, pets, and kitchen counters without sending anyone out to the yard.
Dwell time follows the label, and nothing gets wiped off afterward, since removing it early would stop it from working.
Most people love the scent, herbal and a little minty, and it fades. It is a disinfectant, not a fragrance.
Tell us at booking if anyone in the home reacts to thymol and we will bring a different disinfectant.
You can stay home. Just keep out of whichever room we are in. With a fan on, each room is ready to use again in roughly 15 to 30 minutes. Fogging is not an air purifier, and we do not sell it as one.
Covered by the label. The rooms themselves plus any vents and registers we can get to.
Touch points on request. Ask, and we wipe light switches, doorknobs, and cabinet handles with Decon 30 too. Disinfecting does not cut grease, though, so anything visibly grimy should be cleaned first.
Think of the pest control tech who comes every month. Nobody waits for a problem before calling him, he is just on the schedule. Monthly sanitizing works the same way, pointed at the rooms your family lives and breathes in.
A cold fogger turns the disinfectant into droplets about 10 to 50 microns wide, light enough to float and spread through the room. A trigger bottle shoots drops many times bigger that fall to the floor within a foot. One method treats a room, the other treats a spot, and a spray bottle never reaches the air that carries everything around the house.
The comment we hear most is that the house simply feels fresher. Some customers with dogs say guests stopped noticing the pet smell, and some mention breathing feels easier during dust season.
That is customer feedback, not a health claim. We are not doctors. What we can state for sure is what the product is and that we apply it the way its label requires.
No bleach and no harsh fumes, so the house does not end up smelling like a clinic.
Decon 30 does what its EPA label says, and we follow that label for dwell time, method, and where it may be used. We will not tell you fogging prevents illness or cures allergies. If someone pitches it that way, they are selling something other than a disinfectant.
From May into October most Peoria houses stay sealed with the AC running, and the same indoor air loops through every room for months. Add the construction dust blowing in from the new neighborhoods off the Loop 303 and the haboobs that roll through each monsoon, and whatever gets inside tends to stay there. A monthly fog keeps it from piling up over the summer.
Households with a couple of big dogs, a busy kitchen, or a lake-house patio door that opens fifty times a day in Desert Harbor feel the difference most.
Your visit falls in the same week every month, so there is no rebooking. When carpet, tile, or ducts come due, we add them to that month and cover everything in one trip to Peoria.
Our own crew has handled every Pfaff Cleaning Co. job. The Google rating is 5.0.

No. Stay out of the room we are fogging, and with a fan running it is usable again in about 15 to 30 minutes.
Yes, once it is dry. It is a thyme-oil based disinfectant that needs no rinse, even near food. Let us know about any thymol sensitivity and we switch products.
It cuts odor in the air, often before we leave. A smell coming from something, like urine in a carpet or a mattress, has to be cleaned out, and we will tell you which service fits.
No. Fogging a duct system is off label and can corrode the coil in the air handler. If we are already out for air duct cleaning, you can add room fogging with a Decon 30 wipe of the registers for $175 up to 3 bedrooms or $250 for 4 to 7.
No. We fog the air in each room plus the reachable vents and registers. Counters and shelves are left alone, since this is not a maid service.
Yes. Put carpet, tile, or ducts on that month's visit and it is all done in one trip. After a heavy monsoon, carpet and duct cleaning together pull out most of the dust that came in.
