The difference between a cleaning and a good cleaning is time. We take ours.
Price it yourselfWalk into a Marley Park or Surprise Farms great room and you will usually find tile wall to wall with one big rug anchoring the sofa. In Sun City Grand it is more often a dining room rug and a hallway runner. Either way, that rug is the softest thing in the room and the place where the dust from the west side fields ends up.
We are locally owned. The main area rug cleaning page covers the full method and the rest of our service map.

Not sure if a rug is wool? Pick your best guess. We confirm the fiber on arrival, and if it turns out to be the other type, the price follows the actual material.
Persian, oriental, hand-knotted, and wool rugs are all washed right on your floor. The single exception is viscose, so flag any rug sold as art silk or bamboo silk when you text the quote.
A wall to wall carpet is almost always one synthetic fiber installed over a pad. Rugs are all over the map: wool, cotton, jute, blends, hand-tied knots, latex backings. Heat, moisture, and pH that a carpet shrugs off can shrink a wool rug or set its dyes running.
So the extra cost buys the identification and the slower, fiber-specific work. Online, that is $1.70 per square foot for synthetic and $2.98 for wool.
Rugs we have washed in homes around the Valley.

A few hours is normal. We still tell people to give it up to a day, since a thick wool pile or a rubber backing holds water longer than a thin synthetic. Get air moving and it goes faster: ceiling fan on, a window cracked on a mild day, and the thermostat fan set to ON. We also bring Dri-Pod 360 and Syclone air movers and will run one on the rug while we are there if you ask.
Wool, cotton, synthetic, and blends. Shag, plush, flatweave, sisal, jute, silk blends, hide rugs, and everyday machine-made rugs. Persian and oriental pieces get their dye stability and foundation checked before we settle on a method.
Most synthetics hold their shape and their color, so they handle in-home cleaning easily. Wool soaks up water, can shrink, and reacts badly to high pH products. Hand-knotted rugs often sit on a cotton foundation that browns or lets dye wander if it stays wet too long, so those get very little water and a careful dry. Viscose weakens and warps once wet, which is why we skip it, blends included.
The usual outcome is a rug that looks cared for again. We work a stain properly before deciding it is permanent. What cleaning cannot fix is damage: faded color from a sunny window, dye that already ran, browning left by an earlier soaking, or urine that has reached the foundation. You hear which of those you have before work starts.
Sanitizing uses Decon 30, a botanical disinfectant registered with the EPA. A fogger lays it down as a fine mist, so it treats the fibers and drifts through the room without wetting the rug.
Many homes have one: rolled up after the dog had an accident, a drink went over, or it got wet and started to smell. Sitting in a closet does not mean it is finished. Unroll it for us, and we will say plainly if it can come back before you spend anything.
Urine runs through the pile, into the foundation, and often onto the floor below. A surface pass only handles the top, so the smell returns. A rug like that needs saturation, flushing, and a full rinse, and that is everyday work for us. On a wood floor, we roll the rug up and do it in your garage or out on the patio, so the floor underneath stays dry. Mention it at booking.
Surprise runs right up to farmland and open desert on its west side, and the Loop 303 corridor keeps adding new rooftops. Both send a powdery dust indoors through every door and screen. On a tile floor that dust has nowhere to hide, until it reaches the rug, where it sinks to the base of the pile and stays there.
Monsoon outflow makes it worse. One haboob rolling in from the southwest can leave more grit in a rug than a month of normal living, and a vacuum only reaches the loose layer on top.
In Sun City Grand and Arizona Traditions, plenty of owners spend summer somewhere cooler and roll the rugs up before they go. Fall is a good time to have them washed, so they go back down clean instead of carrying last season's dust onto fresh floors.
Surprise is one of our longer drives, so we put your rugs on the same visit as carpet, furniture, or tile, and the whole list gets finished in one stop.
The fiber gets identified before any water comes out of the tank.

Synthetic rugs are $1.70 per square foot online, $2 regular. Wool is $2.98 online, $3.50 regular.
Length times width, in feet. An 8x10 is 80 square feet. Enter each rug in the box above and it handles the math for both fiber types.
No. Every rug is cleaned in your home, wool and high-end pieces included.
Yes. Wool gets natural-fiber products, and any rug we are unsure about gets a colorfastness test first.
Viscose loses much of its strength when wet, so it can warp, stain, or wear through during a wash. We spot it before starting and leave it as is.
A surface pass treats the top only. Urine that soaked down to the foundation needs saturating and flushing, and we do that work.
They do different jobs. Deodorizer targets smell and leaves a light floral scent. Sanitizing mists Decon 30, a hospital-grade botanical disinfectant, over the fibers. Many people add both.
Fringe is usually the ends of the rug's own foundation, not trim sewn on, so it is handled with care. Mention it when you send your quote.
